According to Kurdish Diaspora sources, over 70,000 people were killed. Dersim Genocide is not the only genocide the Republican Turkey has committed towards Kurds. In1606 and 5 August 1611, the “fire wells” of ‘Murat Pasha the Well digger’ murdered almost 100 thousand Kurdish Kizilbash Alevis. In 1514 (Yavuz Sultan Selim) 40 thousand people were killed by sword.

The Halabja Poison gas attack- By Iraq Army- 16 March 1988
The attack killed 5,000 people, and injured around 7,000 to 10,000 more, most of them civilians; thousands more died of complications, diseases, and birth defects in the years after the attack.
